Dr Ida Rolf developed a "recipe" known as the Ten-Series™. The goal is to help get you out of pain quickly and move easier without overstimulating your system.
Each session invites a new possibility of moving as it relates to your specific design; compounded affects occur with consecutive sessions. You will learn new ways of integrating with every visit.
Sessions 1-3 are considered the "sleeve" or superficial sessions. Even if your issue is deep, you cannot move freely if your outermost shell is tight. We work around the ribs, shoulders, hips and feet allowing easier movement. We work towards specific goals as your body map gets clearer.
Sessions 4-7 are the "core" sessions. Core simply means a deeper affected change. Think of the core less as an anatomical place and more as an uninhibited expression of flow from inside out. We seek to lengthen the spine from the hips through the head.
Sessions 7-10+ are considered "integration" sessions. While integration is a key component to every session, full integration is like the icing on the cake. We explore any missing keys to your integration allowing you to leave this series feeling amazing while gaining a new outlook on life. We make sure your body map is clear and that you know how to move with it. Once completed, the wisdom of the Rolfing Ten Series will drive and support the body with health for years to come.
After completion of the 10-Series, you should notice feeling lighter or moving easier. Over time you may feel as if old habits are starting to creep back. Or new symptoms are coming up. We can address anything with as little as 1-3 sessions. Many clients return for a tune up session in approximately 1-3 months, most report lasting affects over 6 months. Remember that Rolf Movement is also a great way to quickly re-integrate with simple you tools to use at home.
